To get the entire Alumni of St. James’ College of Pharmaceutical Sciences together under one roof.
To develop, encourage and foster friendship and fellowship among the students, teachers, administrative staff (past and present) of the SJCOPS.
To promote the aims and ideals of the institution as spelled out in its prospectus and other relevant publications.
To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day by organizing and coordinating reunion activities of the Alumni.
To arrange and conduct scientific, professional, social and cultural Programmes for the benefit of members, present students of the SJCOPS and the general public.
To conduct and participate actively in public to project and implement programmes like health services, medical camps, Pharma exhibitions, competitive examination coaching classes for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT).
To organize programmes to discuss new trends of research in Pharmaceutical Sciences and thus update the knowledge of the students of the SJCOPS
To collect, screen, and edit articles for publications and to contribute articles to other scientific and popular periodicals for dissemination for knowledge and information to general public from SJCOPS.
To encourage the students of SJCOPS by offering alumni award.
To collect funds for the benefits of the association by way of donations, contributions, and membership fees.
To guide and assist Alumni who have recently completed their courses of study to get job and also those who plan to pursue higher studies and training.
To make necessary arrangements for the graduation ceremony of the fresh passouts of SJCOPS.
To maintain an Alumni Database
To do such other acts and things as are conducive or incidental to the attainment of these objectives which leads to the benefit of the society.

In pursuance of the objectives the association may organize reunion with the help of the Alumni association
Maintain updated and current information of all Alumni.
Inform the Alumni about the ongoing and future activities.
Assist and support the efforts of SJCOPS and in obtaining funds for development.
Collect funds for the benefits of the association by way of donations, contributions, and membership fees.
Discuss new trends of research in Pharmaceutical Sciences with the students of this institute by organizing a journal club “Oushadha Vijnan” .
Nexus Alumni Association will maintain financial support for the activities of journal club “Oushadha Vijnan”
Engage the current students with the Alumni through Nature club
“Poonchola”
Discuss the activities of pharmaceutical importance of medicinal plants including collection, cultivation and harvesting for drugs and cosmetics preparation.
Print, publish and subscribe to other colleges-The Journal of Nexus Alumni Association-“The Journal of Pharma Innovative Research”.
Invest any money of the association not immediately required for any of its objectives in such a manner which is determined by the association for the institute to maintain and grant prizes, certificates and other awards.
Make arrangements for the graduation ceremony of the fresh pass outs of B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, Pharm.D (P.B) and Ph.D holders from SJCOPS.
Conduct competitive examination coaching classes for the students of the SJCOPS.
